Our country is facing a literacy crisis with 130 million adults reading below 6th grade level according to the U.S. Department of Education. At the other end of the continuum, Prosperity for All reports that only 35% of public school students in the U.S. are proficient readers by 4th grade. She shares tips to help parents to build foundational skills and cultivate a love of reading in young children.
